New Delhi: Newly-crowned I-League champions Minerva Punjab FC will take on Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC on 2 April in the inaugural Super Cup football tournament which begins in Bhubaneswar on 31 March.Former I-League champions Aizawl FC will play ISL side Chennaiyin FC in the inaugural match at the Kalinga Stadium, according to the fixture announced after the draw ceremony of the main round at the All India Football Federation headquarters.
Abhilash, a local BJP worker in Dharmadom, and a neighbour of the family told Mail Today that Santosh was killed because he had contested a local body election wherein he secured nearly 100 votes in Andallur village which is fiercely dominated by CPM.'Santosh had been actively associated with the BJP for many years but the CPM workers were furious over his contesting the elections.'He was killed on the night of January 18 when he was alone in his house,' Abhilash said.
Similarly, an autorickshaw driver and three other members of his family were brutally attacked in another CPM stronghold Kodiyari village after he transported a BJP worker to hospital who was attacked by CPM men.'His limbs were chopped off and his family wanted to take him to Bengaluru for limb transplant.
It is the RSS which has initiated killings in the state.
